I call them the “colorist" because they pushed color further than it had ever been pushed, bridging their explorations into the commercial field, creating albums covers, advertising and editorial projects. Why purchase a UV Filter?

I recently purchased a new lens. A Nikon 50mm F:1.4 I and it’s been awesome so far. I also know the Canon 50mm 1.4 is also great. However when I purchased it the salesman asked me if I wanted to get a UV filter. I thanked him but did not need one. “Well he said, you should get one to protect your lens!”. “I am all set, thanks”. On my way from the store I realized that most people pit a filter on their lenses. So I decided to explain in this free photography lesson, the reason why one should purchase a filter to put in front of their expensive lens and why not.
