PhotoInstitute.net is pleased to announce that we are working with Vivu Art to create a High School Photography Program. This program is dedicated to photographers who are committed to photography and serious about learning more while developing their photography skills. This workshop could be viewed by high school students as a college prep course* as students will be working in a competitive environment of outstanding artists. This is a Free photography program to all PhotoInstitute.net members enrolled. Please see the next page for terms of enrollment.

This workshop meets in our virtual classroom, all you need is a computer with access to the internet. Class will meet daily for one hour and 15 minutes for 5 days from 9AM-10:15AM.(Monday-Friday) Our workshop starts: August 16-20, 2010 . Students will be expected to shoot daily. Class will meet for a lecture and critique. Sample assignment listed below. See the full syllabus here.

Assignments and subject of lectures: (this is a sample and may vary)

• Intricacies of the self: Self portrait and symbolism.
  
• Color Abstractions: Using Color in our landscape.
  
• I am you: Portrait of a person of importance to you.
• Exploration of the Dream: Beyond what we see.

Beside classes PhotoInstitute.net will offer a study period where student can have their individual questions answered. Our photo teacher will have a single session at a time to be determined to cover possible issues. This Study Period will meet online in our Virtual Classroom.

Note:* No College credit will be given for this class but quality of work produced will certainly help in the application process. Successful student will receive a certificate of Completion.

Free High School Photography Program

To attend this workshop you must:

• Be a member of the Photoinstitute.net community.
• Have taken at least one photography class at your high school.
  
• Have access to a computer.
• Have access to the Internet via a fast connection (DSL, Cable..).
• Have access to a digital Camera (you can contact us with questions)
• Have basic knowledge of your camera.
• Be able to attend all the classes scheduled.
• Be able to fullfill your daily assignment and upload photos to the web.
