PhotoInstitute.net is a center for online Photography training. It is dedicated to teaching all aspects of Photography to students at all levels and interests. Even though we have only recently open our doors (our virtual doors), our faculty has had many years of teaching. We feel that beside their immense talents, they all share a passion for sharing their knowledge and guiding our members to become better photographers. This program delivers lessons which address specific types of photography (Photojournalism, Advertising etc.). These photography classes are given in the form of instructional videos and are available in downloadable or streaming video format. The “Live Classroom” offers a Real-Time Virtual Classroom. This unique teaching method, in addition to the library of pre-recorded tutorials, allows students to meet and ask questions, have discussions and hold critiques in direct, live contact with their instructor through a high-resolution video feed, incorporating illustrative diagrams provided by the instructor. This approach to education is completely unique and offers students a high level of personal attention as well as specialized lessons designed and instructed by experienced professional photographers.??The “My Tutor” programs are delivered through live video feed. This is the only program in the world where such personal attention is dedicated to the photography student. In this age of technology in which most of the discussions and courses related to photography focus on software and increasingly on Photoshop, our goal is make our students better Photographers period. A great photographer understands the light and its effect on the scene, the placement of the elements in the frame and applies his/her own vision to the Photographs. We often read, “Increase your Creativity”, a course in Photoshop. Creativity comes from asking question about the image you are about to capture. Making decision on angle, point of view, message, the exact time to shoot etc. The Photoshop part should have the same function the darkroom once had: the processing of the file and its fine-tuning and the distribution (printing) of the image. Photoshop is an amazing tool! There is a difference between a technician with great skills using various software and a photographer with great skills at creating images. Our Philosophy is to create a strong foundation in the photographer, based on the understanding of composition and how one reads an photograph, followed by the mastering of technical skills in lighting whether available or artificial. Ultimately the Photographer will develop his/her own style to tell the stories they feel strongly about.
Our Online Photography classes are designed to instruct on one specific subject, with an extensive variety of subjects available, so that the PhotoInstitute.net student will be equipped with the up-to-date information necessary to compete in the busy world of professional photography or will acquire strong photography skills for their personal work.
For that reason, we provide tailor-made instructional video feeds with strong emphasis on the "How To" aspect of photography on studio lighting as well as the theory behind it.
