Twelve Week (12 classes) Photojournalism Workshop will focus on teaching more advanced camera functions, intro to flash, composition, editing and many other subjects. This workshop meets twice a week (Thursdays and Tuesdays) for an hour and fifteen minutes each class and will be run by Connor Gleason. A passionate photographer Connor will guide you to create amazing photographs and "reportage'. Focused on developing your vision and elevate your technical skills, this excellent photography workshop will inspire you, and motivate you to tell the stories that touch you.
Perfect workshop for intermediate who want to advance their skills while focusing on a specific discipline. This is a college level workshop for photographers committed to improve their skills. Meet your teacher in our dedicated Virtual Classroom. The Photojournalism Workshop will introduce attendees to one of the most interesting discipline in Photography. Rich in content, critiques and discussions this workshop will help improve you visual and technical skills, while teaching you how to shoot as a photojournalist.
Level: Advanced beginner to Intermediate level.

This is a “foundation/intermediate” level workshop. It will focus on teaching some advanced camera functions, discuss composition & basic file editing.
- Week 1 A brief History, tools of the trade," The Environmental Portrait"
- Week 2 Sports photography; Action/Reaction, capturing the moment.
- Week 3 "The Decisive Moment", Intro to Flash, Audio, Interviews? Assignment: "Your Community, Its issues"
- Week 4 Review assignment. critique. The Social Impact of Photojournalism. Assignment: "The Day in the Life".
- Week 5 Pulling it together, the Portfolio. How to get started. Spot news.
- Week 6 Final Presentation. One on One meeting with teacher.
Please note that this is a "shooting" workshop. Participants will take photographs every week to fulfill the weekly assignment. PhotoInstitute.net designed the workshop to accommodate shooting time during the week-end, time to edit and delivery of photographs created for a specific assignment by 10AM on the day of Critique.

Every participants in this Workshop will receive an 8"x10" coffee table book! That's right! This book will be produced from the various weekly assignments. A selection of images from each participants in the Landscape Photography Workshop will be included.
If a participant decide to not include his/her photographs in the Coffee Table Book, for this workshop he/she will still receive the book. Note: PhotoInstitute.net will independently select an Image for the cover and will place photographs in the order our designer feels is the most pleasing.
Software: Photoshop (CS,CS2, CS3, CS4), Lightroom, Aperture, Photoshop Elements, Picassa (Free photo editing software)
Camera: Any DSLR capable of shooting various format including RAW. Minimum one lens (preferrably zoom wide to medium:24-70mm.)
