The Landscape Photography Workshop will introduce attendees to the basics of taking photographs of our surroundings, whether urban or rural. Through a series of technical and visual assignments and lectures, photographers will develop a strong foundation and understanding of how to frame, the specific equipment needed and how to create the best picture in their digital darkroom. From Ansel Adams to Minor White and the B&W style to the colorist such as Stephen Shore and William Eggleston students will be introduced to some of the masters of the landscape photography tradition.
This “foundation” level workshop will focus on teaching basic to advanced camera functions, composition, basic file editing. It is a seven week online photography workshop and takes place in our virtual classroom. Learn photography from the comfort of your home.

Seven Week Landscape Photography Workshop dedicated to building a strong photography foundation with a balance of visual and technical lessons. Meetings, Lectures and Critiques take place in our Virtual Classroom so you can learn from the comfort of your home.
This is a “foundation” level workshop. It will focus on teaching basic to advanced camera functions, composition, basic file editing. From Ansel Adams to Minor White and the B&W style to the colorist such as Stephen Shore and William Eggleston students will be introduced to some of the masters of the landscape photography tradition.
• Week 1 covers the equipment, metering, histrogram etc and a brief history.
• Week 2 discusses composition, demonstration, styles and introduce a specific Photographer.
• Week 3 will cover the "Image Editing"; the digital darkroom.
• Week 4 will cover: "The urban landscape documentary" and your point of view.
• Week 5 will offer Q&A, fine tune editing, transfer to B&W, critique."Sunrise or Sunset"
• Week 6 will offer Q&A, fine tune editing, critique."Classic Landscape".
• Week 7 will review all your work, Q&A, Workshop project photo book.
Perfect workshop for new photographers that are comfortable with the camera but need to improve their skills. With the "Landscape" as the backdrop to this course. Please note that this is a "shooting" workshop. Participants will take photographs every week to fulfill the weekly assignment. PhotoInstitute.net designed the workshop to accommodate shooting time during the week-end, time to edit and delivery of photographs created for a specific assignment by 10AM on the day of Critique.
Requirements: Understanding of basic camera functions, some Digital editing software knowledge is the minimum requirement for this workshop. Digital editing, posting of image etc will be covered during the workshop.
Software: Photoshop (CS,CS2, CS3, CS4), Lightroom, Aperture, Photoshop Elements, Picassa (Free photo editing software)
Camera: Any DSLR capable of shooting various format including RAW. Minimum one lens (preferrably zoom wide to medium:24-70mm.)

Every participants in this Workshop will receive an 8"x10" coffee table book! That's right! This book will be produced from the various weekly assignments. A selection of images from each participants in the Landscape Photography Workshop will be included.
If a participant decide to not include his/her photographs in the Coffee Table Book, for this workshop he/she will still receive the book. Note: PhotoInstitute.net will independently select an Image for the cover and will place photographs in the order our designer feels is the most pleasing.
