Our Teachers
"Once an Artist has mastered the tools of his/her trade the natural progression is, through the language of the media used, the development of his/her own voice."
Our job, as teachers, is to nurture, support and allow each individual to grow at their own pace, while they receive the best photography lessons available.
In this age of technology, in which most of the discussion and courses related to photography focus on software, and increasingly on Photoshop, our goal is to help our students become better Photographers. A great photographer understands the light and its effect on the scene, the placement of the elements in the frame, and applies his own vision to each picture he/she creates. Creativity comes from making decisions on which angle to shoot from, or expressing a point of view, a message, waiting for that perfect moment to push the shutter release. Our Philosophy is to create a strong foundation in the photographer, based on the understanding of composition, followed by the mastering of technical skills in lighting whether available or artificial. Ultimately each photographer will develop his/her own style to tell the stories he/she feels strongly about.
