Well, after taking a one day seminar with Steve Martin, of Ripple Training, I felt much more confident. Apple as again completely changed the whole way the application works, and in my book it's great. So what's in this for you photographers, after all you do not need to have some crazy software? My point of view this is the application of the future and the way it works is much simpler than its previous versions. Read More

Great News from our friends!
Good news from all our friends who have kindly have given us their time to be interviewed. I recently opened the New PDN Magazine and in it was a full article titled "How I got that Shot" and it features Adrian Mueller, who we interviewed for our podcast series; The Photo Journal. We started looking to see what other interviewees were up to, and were pleasantly surprised to see their great work. Read More

Download our FREE "7 Steps to Becoming a Better Photographer" booklet for free. We created these lessons as a series of blog entries but decided it would be really beneficial for members to have the information on one place. Check it out, tell us what you think and/or tell us what you would like to see in future lessons. Learn More
Upcoming Interview: James Gehrt
Just getting ready to Interview James Gehrt for our podcast series: The Photo Journal. I found Mr. Gehrt's work on a Boston photo group I am a member of, and thought his recent book "Lapse" was fantastic and his B&W photographs were stunning. He has been kind enough to accept to be interviewed. Check out his book here. The interview should be available in a few weeks but you can listen to the photo Journal either on Itunes (look for "The Photo Journal") or here
Landscape Photography Meetup
On June 4th, our Meetup group went to the Arnold Arboretum in Boston. I really enjoyed the meetup, even though it was a little cool. As Andrew Huang said to me, our Meetups always happen on a cool day, so I guess we are the "Cool" Meetup group. We started with a presentation called "Terms and Concepts in Composition", and discussed: how our eyes read an image, how our eyes respond to values in an images, to movement in an image and the rule of thirds. It was a really fun afternoon event. Special thanks to Luis, Max, Sam and Tommy for volunteering to help. Some members have posted their photos here. Join our Meetup group here.
